How it works

We read the letting. You read one email.

LeadSifter sits between the DOT's website and your inbox. Here is exactly what happens between a letting being posted and a lead landing in front of your sales team at 7:30 in the morning.

1Step one

We read every letting

When a DOT posts a letting, LeadSifter pulls every proposal in it: the plans, the special provisions, the schedule of items, the addenda. Each one is read page by page, including the tables that don't copy cleanly and the plan sheets where quantities hide in the notes.

Every proposal in every letting, not a sample.
Addenda and re-advertised projects are re-read and flagged as Updated.
We keep the page references, so every lead links back to its source.

2Step two

We match your products

From each proposal, LeadSifter pulls out the bill of materials and compares it to your product profile: what you sell, what you call it, and what the DOT calls it. Each project is scored from 1 to 5 based on how much of your product it calls for and how directly.

The reasoning is written out on every lead, in plain words, with the quantities, so your estimator can decide in a glance whether it's worth a call.

3Step three

Scored leads in your inbox by 7:30 a.m.

One email, every morning there's something new. Leads sorted by score, each with the letting date, county, a one-line description, why it matched, and a link to the DOT's own documents. Reply to the email and a person at LeadSifter answers.

Nothing to log into. Forward a lead to whoever owns that county.
Quiet days are quiet. No email when there's nothing new.
Multiple recipients per company, no extra charge.

What you set up

A short description of what you sell. That's it.

Onboarding is a conversation, not a software install. You tell us what you sell and where. We turn that into a product profile with 10 to 20 keywords, run it against last month's lettings, and review the results with you before the first morning email goes out.

  1. 1.Tell us what you sell, in your own words, and the states you serve.
  2. 2.We draft the keyword list, including the DOT item names your products hide behind.
  3. 3.You review a test report. We adjust. Then the daily emails start.
